Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is the daughter of the mixed race family of South London in England. The father of her is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as the mother of her is English. She was raised on the South London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She performed in various stage productions during her time at school, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.

After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that she would quit the show following an appearance as a guest in the pilot episode in the season's third. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg on June 2012. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and he had an appearance with her on that TV show.

Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a big family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her family included her parents Roy and Patty as well as four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley did not walk; instead, she danced. At age two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance after this. Ashley was a competitive dancer in all the major categories until the time she graduated from high school. She competed in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and Acrobatics.
